Camera recommendation

One question I get asked a lot is: Which camera do I recommend? Well I recently purchased a new camera: Canon Powershot G9. The last thing I wanted was to carry my professional camera gear on my trip (heavy & expensive). I'd have to say I'm highly impressed by this camera. It's a 12.1 MP camera and is capable of shooting RAW. You can leave it in the automatic mode and get great results or override it and customize the settings as you wish. The images from my vacation (see previous 2 posts) were photographed with this camera.

(I purchased mine from Costco.com. It was about $500 w/tax and included a 2GB card)

Family Vacation, Bahamas

The second leg of our trip was a Disney cruise to the Bahamas. We sailed the seas, anchored in Disney's private Castaway Cay and then went on to Nassau. This portion of the trip was definitely a bit more relaxing. The soothing water, endless food and flowing drinks have that ability. We also utilized the day care which was filled with good hearted Aussies who were ready, willing and able to give mom and dad a break.

Here is Jaden and I outside our cabin. I'm always amazed at how cute my sons are...

This is the view of Nassau from the Disney Wonder as we were setting sail. The lighthouse in front added a nice touch and The Atlantis Resort stands in the back.

Here is mommy and bubby!

Mom and dad having a great time. Isn't my wife beautiful!

On the last night of the cruise there were amazing lightning storms at sea. They were not anywhere near the ship so i had to zoom far far away to get this image (and only after 15 or so tries). You can see the bolt hitting the water at the very bottom.

Family Vacation

It's been a crazy few weeks! Probably the busiest time of the year for me with the studio... so I tried to make it more insane by throwing in a family trip to Disneyworld & The Bahamas. Of course I don't want to make it seem as though I'm complaining but my wife and I feel like we need another vacation to recover from that one. Anybody that has small children knows that going to the mall can be painful, let alone a week away. All in all the kids handled the lack of sleep and routine in stride. Jaden had a an amazing time. This was his first "conscious" trip to see "Mickey's House."

My boys and I in the hotel room. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to keep up the 2 armed pickup

2 hours after we got to Disneyworld it felt more like Waterworld. Thunder, lightning and intense rain showers. It made for some cute pics at the very least...

The sunset over Epcot. My father-in-law Tony really like this image so here it is

The big golf ball (as Jaden calls it) against the sun setting.

Father & Son... Jaden is showing off his new sunglasses he got for being on good behavior.
