Linda & Jon - San Diego, CA

I can't begin to describe how much fun this wedding was!

A past client and good friend Lety referred me to her sister Linda. It was a great weekend for everyone... My wife and boys made the trip with me, so it was especially nice to have them along for the ride. I photographed the rehearsal dinner at the Valencia Hotel in La Jolla on Friday night. This was a beautiful, trendy spot... and I quickly realized why this area is highly prized: amazing weather, stunning views, interested shops, good eats and beautiful people!

This was, of course, just a precursor to the big day. The ceremony on Saturday was held at the historic Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala and the reception at the Grand Hyatt at the waters edge. I was amazed at how beautiful this downtown area of S.D. really is... Although it was a long, arduous day on the photography end, it was an absolute pleasure on the personal side. SOMA Shootout ~ Pasadena, Ca

Last Saturday I had the joy of spending some time with the SOMA College group from The Church at Rocky Peak. My wife, who serves in the ministry, set up a fun evening of photography. Anybody with an interest in photography or just wanting to hang out, joined us. We started shooting at Pasadena's City Hall, of which I'm well familiar with, and ended up at Paseo Colorado. It was really refreshing to spend some time sharing my thoughts and ideas about how and why I love photography.

Lindsay & Zach ~ Wedding Day

Lindsay & Zach were married July 25, 2009 and the location was at the Westlake Village Inn. This was a crazy, fun wedding! Anytime you have a total of 20 people in the bridal party, you're bound for some fun. There was so much excitement going on all of the time, that it made capturing "real moments" very easy!

So many aspects of this wedding were unique. One of them is that all of the bridesmaid's dresses were handmade by the Maid of Honor, Shannon. Apparently she was up until the wee hours on Saturday morning finishing her own dress! I'll post more images of her work soon...

Callie & Brad - Pasadena, Ca

Here are some images from a recent wedding I photographed on July 18th. Callie & Brad were married at the Athenaeum @ Cal-Tech in Pasadena. Callie looked amazing, with an old Hollywood look & appeal. The wedding ceremony was held indoors to save guests from the 100+ degree heat! Of course the evening reception in the courtyard was amazing. A couple of my favorite images are the ones of Callie gazing into Brad's eyes during their first dance.

Maddy's 1st Haircut

Today was a special day for my son Maddy. My wife and I took him to Lollicuts on Ventura Blvd. in Tarzana. It was definitely time to cut into those precious locks... mainly so he could see clearly! Everyone was highly impressed that he was so well behaved and happy, but that would've been because he was sitting in a Porsche!
